NEW DELHI: Riding on paceman Akash Deep's five-wicket haul, Bengal took a huge first innings lead of 268 runs and put themselves in a commanding position against defending champions Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy semifinal on Friday.
Bengal skipper Manoj Tiwary did not enforce follow-on despite taking a big first innings lead. Bengal, who ended Day 3 on 59 for 2, extended their overall lead to 327 runs and inch closer to the final.
