NEW DELHI: Seasoned duo of Shreyas Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane disappointed yet again but Shardul Thakur starred with both bat and ball as Mumbai clawed their way back against Vidarbha on the opening day of the Ranji Trophy final on Sunday.

Thakur's impactful 69-ball 75 knock injected some much-needed momentum into Mumbai's innings, lifting them to a respectable total of 224 despite a below-par start.
