MUMBAI: It was the first drinks break of the day. One that Vidarbha needed, badly. After put in to bat, Mumbai had raced to 75 for no loss. Just 17 overs into Day 1, the Ranji Trophy final was slipping away from Vidarbha.
The break saw Vidarbha going into a huddle. Skipper Akshay Wadkar delivered the pep talk. The bowlers were told about the channel of attack. "Bowl into the right areas. Don't give boundary balls. Contain the Mumbai batters. This is what the captain told us," Harsh Dubey said while talking to reporters at the end of day's play.
