NEW DELHI: Forever in course correction mode, the Delhi and District Cricket Association's (DDCA) latest move is to appoint Ayush Badoni as captain for their Ranji Trophy match against Jharkhand starting here on Wednesday.
Himmat Singh, who captained till now, has been relieved of his duties. This is the third season in a row that Delhi have changed a captain in the middle of the first-class season. This is, incidentally, the last match of the first leg of the Ranji Trophy this season. The Delhi team management ran out of patience with Himmat, who apart from being in poor form also led a team which has looked increasingly fragile in the first four matches.
