Rangers face a transfer fight with English Premier League clubs to land Blackpool striker Jerry Yates, according to a report.
The 25-year-old hitman bagged a double in the 4-2 English Championship win over Preston at the weekend to take his season tally to eight with as many as TEN clubs running the rule over the Bloomfield Road forward.
The Scottish Sun report that the Light Blues were among that list of teams with Brentford, Bournemouth, West Brom and Watford also named as sides in attendance. The hotshot still has two years to run on his contract with a potential January transfer window tussle on the cards for the man who joined from Rotherham back in 2020. Blackpool's win leaves them sitting in 18th spot in England's second tier, just three points above the bottom three and seven points adrift of Millwall in sixth in the play-off positions to reach the riches of the EPL at this early stage.

Yates managed just eight goals in 42 games in all competitions last term - already matching that total in just 16 games this time around. In the 2020/21 season he fired 20 league goals in English League One and a total of 23 in all competitions.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has summer recruit and top goalscorer Antonio Colak at his disposal alongside the returning Kemar Roofe and fans' favourite Alfredo Morelos. The latter is heading towards the final six months of his current contract and yet to come to an agreement over fresh terms. He would be free to discuss a move elsewhere come January if no deal is struck before then.
Colak has made a stunning start to life in Glasgow, but former Rangers striker Kenny Miller reckons his goal to chances rate is 'absolutely unsustainable'
He told BBC Sportsound : "I don’t think they look like scoring, they aren’t creating enough chances.
"When you talk about the Hearts result, the Ross County and St Mirren; Antonio Colak’s conversion rate of chances was absolutely unsustainable.
"He was scoring pretty much every opportunity they got.
“When you look at yesterday’s game, he had three or four half chances.
"One he got across the defender at the front post and got a big toe on it and it just sneaked past.
"He had two headers second half just go over the bar. An acrobatic scissor kick just past the post. Those type of things were going in.
"Rangers have not been creating a lot of chances and getting the forward the right service.”
