Rangers have watched Wolves defender Dion Sanderson and could make a January move, according to a report.
The centre-back - who can also operate at right-back - has been plying his trade at Birmingham City in the English Championship since joining on loan back in the summer. They are believed to be keen on turning the move into a permanent arrangement - but the Light Blues could swoop in with Ibrox director of football Ross Wilson and John Park both taking a personal look at the stopper last week reports Alan Nixon of The Sun.
His deal at the English Premier League side runs until 2025 and the Ibrox men would have to at least match any fee agreed between the Midlands clubs in order to land the 23-year-old. Rangers have had issues in defence before Michael Beale's arrival with Giovanni van Bronckhorst regularly having to call on James Sands at the heart of the defence with youngster Leon King also thrown in the deep end.

Things have started to look brighter for the new boss with key defender Connor Goldson back from injury while Ben Davies has also put a series of niggling knocks behind him. John Souttar has been a long-term absentee but should return later this month while Filip Helander is another lengthy crock in the defensive ranks.
Now, Sanderson could be added to that pool with the defender emerging as a possible signing target as Beale looks to put his own stamp on the Ibrox squad.
He's made the perfect start to life at Ibrox with four wins from four but faces his toughest test yet with an Old Firm showdown against Celtic tomorrow afternoon.
Ange Postecoglou's men currently hold a nine point lead at the top of the Premiership standings and can go 12 clear with a win. A home win and the gap is down to six.
