Philippe Clement's side will go head-to-head with the Premier League giants in a contest hosted at Murrayfield in Edinburgh.
The Ibrox club have so far played Standard Liege and Ajax in preparations ahead of the new season.
Rangers drew 0-0 with Standard Liege in a behind-closed-doors friendly in the Netherlands before a narrow defeat to Ajax on Saturday.
Now, Erik ten Hag's United will be the opposition in a warm-up clash in the capital with construction work still ongoing at Ibrox.
Following Manchester United, Rangers have still to play Birmingham City at their St Andrew's stadium before taking on Union Berlin in Germany in their final pre-season outing before the return of domestic competitive action in Scotland.
