Rangers fans will get their first taste of Michael Beale as manager against top Bundesliga opposition.
The new Light Blues gaffer will step on to the Ibrox pitch for the first time in over three years, this time as the successor to Giovanni Van Bronckhorst as head coach. Beale has a tough test ahead of his Ibrox rebirth with Bayer Leverkusen coming to town for a friendly before Scottish Premiership action restarts next week.
The World Cup break has afforded the Englishman some time to prepare for his plight to make ground on Celtic, with some crucial fixtures to come before a crunch derby in Glasgow's Southside just after New Year.
