After a slow start, the transfer window exploded into life over the weekend for Rangers.
They were left in the dark after 45 minutes of their Sunderland friendly, but the transfer light never goes out as long as the window is open. Antonio Colak signed last Friday and made his debut (or at least half of one) the following day. Tom Lawrence also jetted out to Portugal after completing his free transfer from Derby County. The front man wasn't included in the squad to face the Black Cats, but turns out he didn't miss much anyway.
John Souttar is another still waiting to make his bow in Royal Blue. The former Hearts man has known he's been heading to Ibrox since signing a pre-contract since January, and must have been wondering if anyone was going to join him as the days passed without much movement following the opening of the window.
The Light Blues are far from done though. An attacking midfielder is still being sought while targets in both defence and attack are being chased as they gear up for the big Premiership kick-off away to Livingston on Saturday, July 30.
Record Sport has laid out the state of play as things stand.
Malik Tillman
A fresh name emerged this morning in the shape of Bayern Munich's Malik Tillman. The 20-year-old defender is reportedly "open" to a move to Ibrox in search of more game time.
He's played four times for the Bavarian outfit, including a substitute appearance against Barcelona in the Champions League. But he's keen to play more regularly Rangers could be the perfect opportunity for him to do that.
Angelo Fulgini
One player who won't be signing is Angelo Fulgini. The Angers attacking midfielder was the subject of two bids from the Govan club, but both were rejected despite Glasgow being the player's preferred destination.
He's now having a medical at Bundesliga outfit Mainz, who are expected to announce his capture tomorrow. He'd been lined up as the ideal replacement for Joe Aribo but they will have to look elsewhere now to replace the Nigerian.
Rabbi Matondo
The German market is de rigour as far as Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Ross Wilson are concerned this summer and they are set to land one target from Deutschland. Schalke winger Rabbi Matondo hasn't travelled with Die Konigsblauen for their pre-season training camp in Austria.
That's because he's locked in talks with the Gers over a move. Those are thought to be at an advanced stage and an announcement confirming the arrival of the Wales international is expected sooner rather than later.
