Rangers transfer state of play as Glen Kamara resolve to be tested with Nicolas Raskin offering succession option

Rangers boss Michael Beale is currently waiting for some of his star names to return to weigh up what moves he needs to make in the January window.

The former QPR boss has had two competitive games to assess his side, and boasts two wins from two despite missing a host of first-team regulars likes Antonio Colak, Kemar Roofe and Ianis Hagi. A host of big names are set to make their return to training imminently and Beale insists that he will put potential negotiations on hold until he hands sporting director Ross Wilson his final verdict on the squad.

However, the club will have a host of names on their radar should they look to dip into the January sales with Beale looking to put his own stamp on Gio van Brockhorst's squad. The Londoner will also be kickstarting succession planning with Rangers risking losing some key men with Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Jack and Ryan Kent when their contracts expire at the end of the current campaign.

So who could be coming in and who could be leaving Ibrox? Record Sport puts three potential deals on focus.

Nicolas Raskin

Contract rebel Nicolas Raskin has already been frozen out of the Standard Liege first-team after knocking back a new deal at the Belgian club, but he has been kept in the firing line by a fuming Ronny Deila. Rangers have been credited with an interest by reports in Belgium, having been heavily linked with a move to the Scottish Premiership in the summer.

The issues between the Liege management and the 21-year-old only appear to be ramping up in the wake of a thumping 4-0 defeat to Royal Antwerp. Former Celtic boss Deila was quick to shift blame to the wantaway midfielder for the drubbing as he declared post match: "We are going through a difficult period.

"There are too many negative things that affect the group. The situation around Raskin did the group no good. As a group, we now need to regain our confidence, because the next game is coming soon."

The enforcer is reportedly being tracked by Club Brugge as well as the Ibrox side with the January fast approaching. Raskin is free to pen a pre-contract agreement and leave for free in the summer during the winter window.

Glen Kamara

Nantes are reportedly "preparing" an approach for Glen Kamara with the French side remaining the frontrunners to land the Finland international. The 27-year-old was reduced to being a bit-part player under former boss Gio van Bronckhorst, but has started both of Michael Beale's competitive games at the Ibrox helm.

With the former QPR boss showing the midfielder is one of his Rangers favourites early in his tenure, it seems unlikely that the club will sell the star next month. However, Homme du Match report that Ligue 1 side plan to test the resolve of the Scottish Premiership side.

The report claims Nantes believe they "can afford' as they look to bolster their ranks for the relegation scrap this term. A bid in the region of €7.5m (£6.6m) is being lined up for the midfielder.

Ridvan Yilmaz

With Ridvan Yilmaz facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury and the player's agent insisting the full-back is committed to Rangers, Turkish suitors have reportedly given up the chase. Both Galatasaray and Besiktas had been credited with an interest in the 21-year-old by media in Turkey.

However, Sporx report Besiktas have admitted defeat in their hope of re-signing the star on loan due to his injury keeping him out for at least 12 weeks. Galatasaray have reportedly moved on and are looking to sign Milan star Fode Ballo-Toure on loan.
