It's approaching transfer rumour silly season and Rangers are set to be in the thick of it.
Capture number three of the Michael Beale rebuild has been announced in the form of Jack Butland, who arrives on a free transfer from Crystal Palace after serving as back-up to David de Gea on loan at Man United. Jose Cifuentes has 'liked' posts hinting at a Rangers move in the imminent future and it's got punters wondering whether he will be Ibrox signing number four.
Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling are already signed up for pre-season and the boss will look to make use of a settled pre-season to whip his men into shape ahead of a tilt to try and wrestle Premiership supremacy off rivals Celtic. But who will be next to sign on the dotted line in Govan? We take a look at the latest rumours surrounding the Ibrox club.
Jack Butland
While no appearing for the Red Devils, new goalkeeper Butland seems to have made waves in the dressing room. Bruno Fernandes is one of the star-studded names to send him a message of Ibrox congratulations, the Portuguese star saying 'you deserve the best' on Instagram.
An Ibrox favourite in Jermain Defoe was also on hand to dish out the well done messages. He commented 'Ur gonna love it mate special club' and United leader Harry Maguire simply put 'good luck mate.' Butland had posted: "Delighted and honoured to have joined such a special and successful club. Already counting down the days to pull on the shirt in-front of a packed Ibrox @rangersfc Exciting times ahead."
Allan McGregor has left the club, leaving a position to fill between the sticks. And it's hoped Butland can step up and fill that void, with Robby McCrorie ready to push him in starting contention.
Matija Frigan
Rijeka's in-demand striker is one player the Light Blues have a reported interest in. Representative Dragan Skoci said last month he was fielding calls for the Croatian every day, and now club Sporting director Darko Raic Sudar has confirmed he'll almost certainly be on the move this summer after 15 goals in 31 games.
He told Novilist: "There is the most interest in Frigan, he is our most valuable player on the market. He is young, received a pre-call for the national team and will play at the U21s Euro.
"Two or three official offers came, but none of them satisfied. The interest of the players should also be looked at. We all think that Frigan will leave. He may leave in a month or two, but he doesn't have to, why not stay another year in Rijeka and do even better things."
Glen Kamara
Glen Kamara is one player currently at Rangers with a decision to make on whether he stays or goes. Beale has already said there's a crossroads approaching and Turkish reports have claimed Galatasaray and Besiktas could be keen.
Sheffield United were an English Premier League option mooted in some quarters. But according to the Sheffield Star, the Blades couldn't get involved in a bidding war with Turkish rivals if that came to pass.
They are 'not equipped to win' a battle like that unless Kamara decided he wanted to stay in the UK. And, they claim 'sources north of the border last night suggested that Rangers could now want as little as £4m for the former Arsenal trainee.' Boss Paul Heckingbottom has 'limited' funds to work with.
