Rangers are hopeful of making Couhaib Driouech their tenth arrival of the window.
The club is in discussions with PSV to secure the Moroccan winger for a sum believed to be around £6 million.
This comes as Derek McInnes's side faced a 2-1 defeat against Jagiellonia Bialystok.
Daisuke Yokota, who joined from Hannover 96 on Wednesday, was in from the start.
McInnes said: "There’s no pleasure in that for us tonight.
"We lost two goals that were clearly mistakes.
"We got off to a good start, securing the middle of the pitch and playing around their shape."

"But we have beat ourselves tonight.
"That’s no disrespect to Jagiellonia.
"They showed what they are, a counter-attack team with pace to take advantage of sloppiness and a lack of concentration."
He said: "I’m not going to watch us all season give up so many chances.
"We can’t lose the ball on the edge of their box and it ends up with a chance for them.
"There are a lot of bad habits carrying on from last season.
"That’s down to talking, organisation and closing the back door before the fire becomes bigger."
While talks continue with PSV for Driouech, Rangers have cooled their interest in Farès Ghedjemis.
This is because Frosinone are sticking to their valuation of the player this summer.
