Rabbi Matondo is closing in on his move to Rangers as Malik Tillman's potential switch from Bayern Munich is analysed.
Schalke star Matondo is reported by Sport1 as having completed his medical checks in Manchester ahead of an approximate £3million move to Ibrox. The winger joined the Bundesliga club from Manchester City in 2019 for a fee of around £11 million and spent last season on loan at Belgian club Cercle Brugge. He would become their fourth summer signing after the captures of striker Antonio Colak, attacking midfielder Tom Lawrence and centre-back John Souttar. A Welsh international, the former City prospect will help fill the void left by Joe Aribo and his move to Southampton.
Chief reporter Patrick Berger tweeted: "Agreement reached! Rabbi Matondo joins Glasgow Rangers. The Welsh winger completed medicals in Manchester and agreed on personal terms with the Scottish side. Only paperwork need to be done. Official announcement soon."
