Dundee boss Gary Bowyer has confirmed that he has spoken with Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson over players from Ibrox who may be available for transfer amid the Ben Williamson rumours.
Bowyer has used his connections at Ibrox before, signing Stephen Kelly on loan during his stint as Salford City manager. Kelly's midfield teammate Williamson has been linked with a loan move to the Scottish Championship club as he looks to continue building senior experience, and finds himself on Dundee's radar.
The Scotland youth international has been out on loan before and the Dens Park boss also has a good relationship with Light Blues loans manager Billy Kirkwood. Some chats have taken place and Williamson has been shortlisted in Tayside, with Bowyer saying: "We’ve been linked with him and I know about him. I worked with Stephen Kelly at Salford so I am aware. I have done my homework on players. I have a decent relationship with Billy Kirkwood.
