Dundee have confirmed the season-long loan signing of Ben Williamson from Rangers.
The Scotland youth international spent last season at Premiership club Livingston and in the Championship with Raith Rovers after a productive loan at Arbroath the year previous. He heads out of Ibrox again for more senior experience and Dundee boss Gary Bowyer - who signed Rangers teammate Stephen Kelly while Salford City manager - will hand him a third second tier stint. Turning 21 in August, Williamson will stay in Tayside until next summer, with his deal at the Light Blues running until 2024 after penning an extension.
A Dundee statement reads: "Dundee Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Ben Williamson on a season long loan from Rangers. Midfielder Ben has previously had spells with Arbroath and Raith Rovers in the Championship and with Livingston in the Premiership. Ben joined his team mates for training this morning and will wear number 22 for the season."
Williamson posted on social media of the move: "Buzzing to sign a new deal at Rangers. Cant wait for the season at Dundee."
Head of Rangers' Academy, Craig Mulholland, commented: "I am really pleased for Ben as he has an excellent professional attitude, is a great lad and one of the hardest working players in the Academy.

"Ben has had two successful loans so far as he continues his development and we know he will tackle this next challenge head on.
"As we have often said each player is on a different and very individual journey and so far Ben’s has continued in a positive upward trajectory."
