Rangers have tied down youngster Jay Hogarth to a new three-year deal before immediately sending the young stopper out on loan for the season ahead.
The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on a deal until 2025 but will continue his development at Alloa Athletic in Scottish League One in the upcoming campaign. The youngster had a stunning season as part of David McCallum's B team in their inaugural Lowland League campaign and was also a part of regular training sessions with Giovanni van Bronckhorst's top team while he featured on the bench as part of the Europa League run to Seville.
Head of Rangers Academy Goalkeeping, Graeme Smith told Rangers' official website: “We are delighted that Jay has extended his stay at Rangers for a further three years. Jay has continued to make fantastic progress during his time at the club and has worked incredibly hard from becoming part of our Academy at the age of ten years old.
