Kilmarnock may have to prepare to face Ryan Kent this weekend.
The Rangers winger missed out on their Champions League defeat against Union Saint-Gilloise, as did new defender John Souttar.
The pair both started the Scottish Premiership opener against Livingston and Light Blues boss Gio van Bronckhorst is hopeful that Kent will be back from an ankle knock for the clash against Derek McInnes' Killie on Saturday.
However, Souttar is facing a longer spell on the sidelines as he undergoes tests.
Van Bronckhorst told Premier Sports: "Ryan had a bad moment on Saturday when he had some problems with his ankle. Hopefully he will be better for Saturday or Tuesday. John also has a problem so we are assessing him."
Meanwhile, Killie will be without keeper Zach Hemming, who has been sent back for rehabilitation at Middlesbrough for a groin injury, as well as centre-back Chris Stokes and forward Scott Robinson.
