Uddingston's Alex Lowry grabbed an assist as Cambuslang Rangers' Scott Williamson featured for Queen's Park in their 2-0 loss to Rangers 'B'.
Arron Lyall slipped in Rangers teammate Cole McKinnon on the right, his shot palmed into the path of Tony Weston, who dispatched a rebound comfortably.
Lowry then sent a free-kick into the box for Weston to grab his second of the game and second half at the back post.
It sealed a comfortable win for the Ibrox club's youngsters against a rotated League One Spiders, who fielded Williamson in attack.
He joined Queen's Park in January after impressive form for West of Scotland Football League Conference B side Cambuslang Rangers.
Williamson immediately returned to Camby on loan, but he is eligible for selection in the Glasgow Cup.
