Wales boss Robert Page believes 'unnecessary pressure' was placed on Aaron Ramsey by selecting him as one of Rangers' five penalty takers in Seville.
The Light Blues suffered shootout heartbreak against Frankfurt in the Europa League final with the midfielder having his penalty saved by Kevin Trapp.
It proved to be the decisive spot-kick - with Ramsey only introduced onto the field of play two minutes before the end of extra-time.

Dragons boss Page has backed Ramsey to bounce back from his disappointment and will have no qualms asking him to step up to hit a penalty in the World Cup play-off final if the showdown goes the distance.
But Page has suggested Rangers were misguided in putting the Welshman among their five penalty takers.
He said: "It's difficult because you have to be up to the pace of the game.
"We see it time after time when you are not up to the pace of the game. It happened recently where the players' first touch after he comes on is missing a penalty.
"It's unnecessary pressure for the player. I wouldn't make the substitution.
"If it was forced and you have to take a penalty then you have to get on with it. But there is no way I would play God."
Ramsey joined Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side in a blockbuster January transfer deadline day loan move.
The 31-year-old - who still has a year to run on his Juventus deal - has Saturday's Scottish Cup Final with Hearts to focus on before he makes a decision over his future.
Page's full focus is now on Wales' World Cup play-off final against Scotland or Ukraine in Cardiff on June 5 with the winner heading to the finals in Qatar.
Ramsey is part of his 27-man squad for the showdown as well as FOUR Nations League ties next month.
He continued: "I nearly messaged Aaron this morning, but then I thought I would give him some space.
"I can't wait to get him in the building and back with his mates. I will have a one-on-one with him, but Aaron will be fine
"Big players step up for big occasions, and he will recover in a positive way.
"As disappointed as he will be for himself, and Rangers as well because they showed loyalty in taking him in and giving him games, he will bounce back."
