Glasgow-based drill group Triple01s have had special permission from Rangers to film their latest music video inside Ibrox stadium.
The drill act have recently obtained a big record deal with the renowned Warner Records. Their music is well-liked by some of the current Rangers squad and club partners Castore have also kitted them out in merchandise which is used prominently throughout the music video.
Consisting of 'Trigga' and 'YSK', it's a group that supports Rangers and released a song in 2021 called 'Oi, Freeze Up' which included lyrics like 'whipping crosses' like Tavernier, being 'composed' like Kamara and 'shooting like Jermain Defoe '. Taking to Twitter, the group posted of the video released on Thursday: "A surreal moment for us having recorded our new Music Video “AYO” in IBROX Stadium! OFFICIALLY OUT NOW hope you all enjoy this as much as we did making it!"
Rangers said in a statement: "Rangers fans Triple01s launch their brand new single ‘AYO’, with the club pleased to have supported the duo by allowing them to film their music video at Ibrox.
"The Glasgow-based drill duo have recently signed a major deal with Warner Records. They have developed a growing following on the back of early independent tracks such as 'LIVID', 'Robbing Hood' and 'Oi Freeze Up', with first-team stars Ryan Kent, Glen Kamara and Alex Lowry among those they can count as fans.
"Club partner Castore have also been delighted to support Triple01s by providing some of their merchandise, which is used prominently throughout the video.
"The video and Gers’ support of Triple01s comes ahead of the opening of New Edmiston House, which is set to become a new focal point for music within the city. Everyone at Rangers wishes the guys every success for ‘AYO’ and their future career."
