Striker Alfredo Morelos is back in the Rangers squad for the first time since March after making a full recovery from a thigh injury. The Colombian star required surgery on the issue and played no part in the latter stages of last season.
But he could now be set for a return to the pitch against Kilmarnock on Saturday after boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst confirmed the forward's inclusion in his match day squad. New signing Ridvan Yilmaz could also make his first start at left-back after a substitute's appearance in the midweek Champions League qualifying defeat to Union Saint-Gilloise.
Rangers are hopeful Ryan Kent will return after picking up an injury against Livi. The Ibrox side are aiming to make it two wins from two in the new Premiership campaign after coming from behind to beat Livingston last weekend.
Defender Filip Helander remains out with a foot problem and midfielder Ianis Hagi has been sidelined since January after suffering cruciate ligament damage. Both are continuing their recovery.
Kilmarnock will have 20-year-old Jeriel Dorsett in their squad after signing the defender on loan from Reading. Boss Derek McInnes hopes former Rangers winger Jordan Jones can brush off a minor injury but on-loan Ibrox defender Lewis Mayo cannot face his parent club.
Blair Alston, Zach Hemmings, Scott Robinson and Chris Stokes will not feature.
