Livingston ace Stephanie Omeonga's red card was an 'extremely harsh' call according to Michael Stewart.
The BBC pundit is warning our game is getting in to the territory of being a 'non contact sport' after the Lions star was shown a red card, after already being booked, for a challenge on Kemar Roofe in the second half. Rangers ran out 3-0 winners after James Tavernier netted a first-half penalty before capitalising on the free-kick caused by the sending off.
Roofe netted one himself to seal a big three points ahead of the Viaplay Cup final with Celtic on Sunday, but pundit Stewart believes referee David Dickinson's decision was extremely harsh on David Martindale's side. The Lions boss was not happy post-match and the former Hearts midfielder can understand his frustrations.

Stewart told BBC Sportscene: "I don’t think it was a foul when you look at the angle from low behind.
"It’s a sensational free kick but for me I don’t think it was a foul so I don’t think it’s a yellow card. It kills the game.
"I have huge sympathy for Omeonga. If that’s a foul, we’re taking the game into a no contact sport and I don’t think anyone wants to see that. I think it was extremely harsh."
