Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has some big calls to make this weekend as he takes his side into their first Premiership match of the season.
The Light Blues are desperate to win back the title they won in 2021 after Ange Postecoglou guided Celtic to the league summit last season. That challenge begins on Saturday away to Livingston but there will perhaps be a mindful eye cast to Tuesday's all-important Champions League third qualifying round match in Belgium against Union St Gilloise.
Van Bronckhorst will have a chance to hand debuts to new signings like John Souttar, Antonio Colak, and others while there's the added conundrum of who starts between the sticks. Alfredo Morelos is back in training too but whether this game is a weekend too early for him after a lengthy injury lay-off is a question that will be answered. Glasgow Live Sport predicts who starts the weekend's match.

Goalkeeper - McLaughlin
40-year-old McGregor or Jon McLaughlin, who takes the number one spot? We think it'll be McGregor this season but with Tuesday's Champions League match looming, McLaughlin will begin their domestic campaign.
Defence - Tavernier, Goldson, Souttar, Barisic
Three of the four players listed have been stalwarts for the Ibrox club and that remains the case heading into their latest campaign. Souttar has arrived from Hearts and we reckon he'll be the man selected to start alongside James Tavernier, Connor Goldson and Borna Barisic.
Midfield - Jack, Lundstram, Kamara
It's another familiar look for Rangers' midfield, with experienced Ryan Jack coming in to anchor the three-man system with John Lundstram and Glen Kamara doing the legwork ahead of him
Attack - Kent, Colak, Lawrence
Rabbi Matondo has been a livewire for Rangers in pre-season after his arrival from Schalke but he's had a knock, so may be rested ahead of a trip in Europe. Colak debuts to lead the line with Lawrence and Kent helping him out, with Morelos' lack of involvement in pre-season making his chances of starting this one unlikely.
Rangers XI: McGregor; Tavernier, Goldson, Souttar, Barisic; Jack, Lundstram, Kamara; Kent, Colak, Lawrence.
