Rangers poised to complete Danilo and Cifuentes transfers

Rangers are poised to complete the double signing of Danilo and Jose Cifuentes to further boost Michael Beale’s squad ahead of the new campaign.

The Ibrox boss has significantly overhauled his ranks in recent weeks as the likes of Jack Butland, Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers have put pen-to-paper with the Light Blues.

Now Danilo and Cifuentes are set to complete their own switches as the Ibrox board continue to back Beale in the transfer market this summer.

Striker Danilo will cost more than £5million when he competes a move from Feyenoord and an agreement has also been reached that will allow Cifuentes to arrive from Los Angeles FC after contract terms were previously agreed.

The Ecuadorian will require a work permit before he is allowed to join up with Beale’s squad as preparations continue for the Premiership opener away to Kilmarnock next week and the upcoming Champions League qualifiers against Genk or Servette.

Danilo is expected to finalise his deal in the coming days as he joins Lammers, Dessers and Abdallah Sima in a new look attacking line this term.

Rangers will soon turn their attentions to trimming the size of Beale’s squad and the likes of Jon McLaughlin and Scott Wright will move on before the close of business this summer.

Nottingham Forest have been credited with an interest in left-back Borna Barisic while Glen Kamara is on the radar of Leeds United.

The Rangers Review team is taking the hugely-popular morning briefing LIVE at New Edmiston House on July 28.

And, we're delighted to announce that none other than Barry Ferguson will join our top team of Jonny McFarlane, Joshua Barrie, Stevie Clifford and Derek Clark.

The doors will open at 6.30pm giving you time to grab a beer or soft drink before we head into an hour of debate and chat ahead of the new season; expect new signing assessments, tactical analysis, predictions and the usual banter. Then, Derek will host an exclusive chat with Barry, gaining insight into his two trophy-laden spells at the club and his take on Michael Beale's rebuild.

Tickets start at just £21.50 and can be purchased HERE.
