Rangers booked their place in the Scottish Cup semi-final after defeating Raith Rovers at Ibrox.
Visiting goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald frustrated Michael Beale's side with a number of key stops before they finally broke the deadlock with just three minutes of the half to play. Connor Goldson bulleted a header home from an inch-perfect Borna Barisic. Just before the hour the home side had a second with Ryan Nolan turning James Tavernier's cross into his own net in a real moment to forget for the defender. Sub Scott Arfield then added a third in the final minutes to wrap up a big win.
There was a welcomed sight for the Ibrox faithful with John Souttar and Ridvan Yilmaz handed 25 plus minute run outs as they step up their returns from injury. They will be like new signings for Beale as they look to provide competition and further strengthen the pool.
