Rangers sealed a 3-1 win in the capital as Michael Beale's side kept their momentum going after beating Celtic.
Rangers started brightly, threatening from set pieces and not allowing Hibs to get out. John Souttar and Fashion Sakala troubled David Marshall before Kevin Nisbet went close with a header. Both sides probed without creating major chances as James Tavernier marked his 400th appearance for Rangers with a curling free-kick that blindsided Marshall at the near post to open the scoring.
In the second half, Rangers looked to be more clinical as Ianis Hagi didn't need a second invitation before firing in to the bottom corner on the stroke of the hour to give Beale's side some breathing room. There were further efforts from Sakala and co but the Light Blues looked comfortable despite the odd scare on Robby McCrorie's goal.
Hibs were unable to pile much pressure on despite some individual good performances, before David Marshall's fumble allowed Todd Cantwell to charge in and fire home with a few minutes to play to put the icing on the cake as Rangers. There was a slight sting in the tale when Paul Hanlon netted a header with seconds to play for a consolation.

Robby McCrorie - 6
A few uncertain palms away from set pieces. Uncomfortable again in a crucial moment. Will be angry to have not kept a clean sheet.
James Tavernier - 7
Marking tight but Youan caused a few issues. Marked his 400th appearance with a top free kick.
Leon King - 7
Stood up well against the threat of Nisbet. Grew in to the game as it went on with strong Souttar support. A slight switching off in the final minute.
John Souttar - 8
Half chance in the first two mins. Looking more comfortable as games go on. Two big blocks when needed. A great display.
Ridvan Yilmaz - 6
Good battle with Cadden down his side. Missed Campbell on the back post and nearly punished.
Ryan Jack - 6
Did the tidying up well and supported Raskin.
Nicolas Raskin - 7
Good driving play forward. From middle to front he was very effective. Hooked after 50 with a knock.
John Lundstram - 6
A few important interventions. Drifted out the game in the second half apart from a dangerous volley.
Todd Cantwell - 8
Smart link-up early on but final ball slightly lacking. Tidy in the second half and got his reward with a goal late on.
Ianis Hagi - 7
Quiet in the first half and looked off it. He netted a huge goal for confidence on his return and was visibly emotional.
Fashion Sakala - 6
Troubling Hibs early on. Half chance on the header before the break. Not his usual energetic self. Probably a tad unlucky with a few efforts.
Subs:
Scott Arfield - 5
Steady coming on for Raskin.
Alex Lowry - 5
Was able to irritate Hibs off the bench. Saw plenty of the ball.
Robbie Ure - 3
Looked confident coming on.
Arron Lyall - 2
Big moment for the youngster coming on.
Ross McCausland - 2
An introduction to the Rangers team for him.
