Rangers 'Old Firm' centrepiece against Celtic consigned to Ibrox bin after derby defeat

Rangers 'Old Firm' archway used during the derby clash with Celtic has been snapped in the Ibrox bins.

Both teams walked out from the tunnel and under the blue 'Old Firm' branded arch before kick-off between the bitter foes.

The traditional title for Scottish football's showpiece match has been a bone of contention with Celtic fans opting for the 'Glasgow derby' post-2012.

However, Rangers made their feeling known on the arch as Callum McGregor and James Tavernier led the teams out.

Following the 2-1 defeat, Celtic fans spotted it has already been binned as Ange Postecoglou 's men edged closer to the title.

The picture shows the derby day centre-piece alongside the rubbish at the Ibrox gates.

The image was tweeted by @CollectCelticFC alongside the caption: "Getting gubbed in the Glasgow Derby and into the bin you go."

The club has already made the point with electronic advertising boards filling Ibrox that read 'This is the Old Firm'.
