He's featured against Celtic over the years in European qualification matches.
McGregor, 40 was brought on for what looked like an emotional swansong in the final moments of Rangers' Scottish Cup win over Hearts at Hampden.
Rangers have already been linked with a host of names with McGregor's future beyond the summer uncertain.
