Josh McPake looks set to undergo pre-season at Rangers this summer, but is likely to be loaned out, with Scottish clubs lining up to take him on board.
Scottish Championship clubs Inverness, Raith Rovers and Queen's Park are reportedly keen to take the attacker for a loan spell.
According to Football Scotland, Carlisle and Stockport are also said to be keen on the 20-year-old, who has extensive experience of playing in the English leagues.
McPake, from Coatbridge, spent last season on loan to Morecambe and then Tranmere Rovers, before returning to the club.
Speculation mounted that Rangers were considering cutting ties with the playmaker and even buying out his contract, which has two years left on it.
Injuries plagued his time at Morecambe, with then-boss Stephen Robinson exasperated by lack of playing time, but Giovanni van Bronckhorst could hand him a lifeline, having also given Alex Lowry and Leon King appearances last season.
