Rangers keeper Robby McCrorie signs new long-term Ibrox deal

ROBBY MCCRORIE has signed a new long-term deal at Ibrox to commit himself to Rangers for a further three seasons.

The 24-year-old was in the final months of his Light Blues contract as Rangers risked losing one of their brightest talents for free at the end of the campaign.

But positive discussions have now resulted in McCrorie putting pen-to-paper on fresh terms that will keep him at Ibrox until the summer of 2025.

McCrorie has had loans spells with Berwick Rangers, Greenock Morton, Queen of the South and Livingston as he has gained valuable first team experience.

And he will now aim to secure the Ibrox number one jersey in the coming years after pledging his future to boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

McCrorie's talent and potential have seen him earn international recognition with Scotland under the guidance of manager Steve Clarke in recent times.

He remains behind Allan McGregor and Jon McLaughlin in Van Bronckhorst's plans but now has the gloves very much in his sight going forward after putting pen-to-paper with his boyhood heroes once again.
