Rangers issue statement as defender completes transfer exit to surprise destination

Rangers have officially confirmed Clinton Nsiala's transfer exit to Sharjah FC.

We revealed last night that the former AC Milan centre-back would depart Ibrox to move to the United Arab Emirates.

It's understood Rangers banked £300k for the defender, with a significant sell-on fee included as part of the transfer.

Sharjah FC are currently seventh in the Pro League with nine points from five matches. Nsiala has signed a two-year deal with the club.

Nsiala was informed he would not have a part to play after Derek McInnes took over as Rangers manager in the summer, and was allowed to find a new side.

A Rangers statement confirmed: "We can today confirm Clinton Nsiala has joined Sharjah FC for an undisclosed fee.

"The defender joined the club from AC Milan in the summer of 2024 but will now continue his career in the United Arab Emirates.

"Everyone at Rangers wishes Clinton all the best for the future."
