He never kicked a ball for the club or took a coaching session, but Rangers are in no doubt Jimmy Bell will go down as an Ibrox legend.
The Light Blues are mourning the loss of one of their own this week after the death of their famous kitman, who has been part of the fabric of the club for more than 30 years.
Gary Stevenson, Newtonhill, said: “So sad that Rangers legend Jimmy Bell has passed away. He knew Rangers probably more than anyone. He worked alongside Graham Souness, Walter Smith, Ally McCoist, Steven Gerrard and Giovanni. A true football man who gave his heart and soul to the club he loved. Rest in Peace Jimmy.”
John Davidson, Armadale , said: “So sad to hear of the passing of Rangers kitman Jimmy Bell. The man was a legend in his 30 years plus service to Rangers. My thoughts and condolences are with his family, lest we forget.”
Kevin Lord, Drylaw, said: “In all my years watching Rangers play Hibs, or Rangers on TV, I cannot think of a single game Jimmy Bell wasn't prominent on the bench. One of the good guys.”
Gers fans might admit the Premiership has all but gone, but they still reckon their side are top dogs in Scotland after last weekend’s derby draw.
John Bruce, Glasgow, said: “No defeat for Celtic in the Old Firm. No referee conspiracies. Coincidence?
“Celtic had one shot on target at home and Rangers dominated the match. That has been the story of our season – drawing or losing games that we should have won.
“The results of both teams in Europe – where it matters – clearly show which is the better team.
“Celtic might need to wear parachutes next season to soften their landing when they plummet through three tournaments again.”
Stefan Lomako, Whithorn, said: “Rangers will be in the Champions League group stage next season regardless.
“The worst scenario is qualifying games which they will easily negotiate because that's their positive attitude in Europe.
“I hope the Bhoys consolidate the league this season and don't have to negotiate qualifying games banana skins.”
Hoops fans believe it’s just the start for Ange Postecoglou though.
Paul Price, Belfast, said: “I admit the last 20 minutes on Sunday were squeaky bum time but leagues are won over the course of the season.
“Big Ange has proved he’s no mug and he'll know the score. Reo Hatate will benefit from a rest over the summer.”
Robert McEwan, Mount Vernon, said: “It would be great if Celtic get Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers signed up permanently.

But Bud Hay, Dumfries , said: “Got to laugh at George Wilson's comments about Rangers eclipsing anything Celtic achieved. May I remind him Celtic won the big trophy. You have not. Celtic have been there and done it and got the t-shirt.”
Non Old Firm fans see a different story though and Jimmy Murray, Edinburgh, said: “Rangers and Celtic fans are kidding themselves. Celtic should have had Sunday's game sewn up by halftime but can only play for 45 minutes due to lack of fitness.
“Rangers fans want to build the team around Lundstrum because he made four tackles and stared out Celtic fans on the way back to the team bus.
“I remember the old Celtic and Rangers and even at their worst this pair wouldn’t live with them.”
