Raging Rangers fans were left fuming after Premier Sports crashed during the first half of their pre-season friendly against Sunderland in Portugal.
The Light Blues are in action take against the English Championship Black Cats in the Algarve as they kick off their pre-season schedule. But it is not working out the way supporters would have hoped after the Premier Sports stream just minutes into the clash. Instead of casting their eyes upon Gio van Bronckhorst' s men live in Portugal, viewers were played highlights from last season's Scottish Cup Final as Premier Sports operators worked hard to get the broadcast back on track with a message "coverage will resume shortly."
However, to make matters worse the broadcast got back underway shortly after Sunderland slotted home the opener through Luke O'Nien. Not a great start to the night for Rangers or indeed their fans. And they took to Twitter to share their outrage at the technical failure. One wrote: " @PremierSportsTV you’ve some b*lls on you making money from ads during the Rangers game outage." One Tweeted: "The irony of a “never miss out” advert on @PremierSportsTV when they lose the Sunderland v Rangers game" before another said " @PremierSportsTV having an absolute howler tonight with the Rangers v Sunderland game".
