Fans, former players, rival clubs and celebrities were all blown away by Rangers' win over Borussia Dortmund - with the victory hailed by former boss Steven Gerrard.
On a stunning night in the Westfalenstadion, Gio van Bronckhorst 's side secured a 4-2 win in the first leg of their Europa League play-off.
Dortmund were favourites to win the competition before kick-off but were battered by a brilliant Rangers performance.
The result caused shockwaves around Europe and drew a huge reaction on social media in the aftermath, with Gerrard congratulating his successor on a fine win.
Here's some of the best reaction.
Gerrard and Co
Gio van Bronckhorst's predecessor was watching on and while there was an angry initial reaction to his departure you sense much of that ill-feeling has cooled by now.
In any case the unbeaten Premiership champion still has a place for Rangers in his heart.
That much was clear as he took to Instagram at the full-time whistle.
But Gerrard wasn't the only member of the former Ibrox and now Aston Villa backroom in awe.
Right-hand man Michael Beale weighed in on Twitter: "Fantastic performance - well done to Gio & the players."
And plenty of Rangers fans were keen to bury the hatchet as they reminded Beale it was his hard work that made the club a big player on the European scene.
There was a common theme in the replies as one fan wrote: "Get yourselves to Ibrox next week Michael! The place will be rocking!!"
Forgotten men
Some players just pass through football clubs while others leave indelible marks.
Eduardo Herrera arrived at Ibrox just days after goal hero Morelos and it's safe to say their impacts on the club have differed greatly.
And the centre forward - whose Twitter profile picture still features Herrera in a Rangers top - responded with (virtual) applause.
Snapping a picture of his TV with the score only 2-0 at the time the best was yet to come.
Portuguese winger Daniel Candeias, now of Turkish side Antalyaspor threw up a similar post with the requisite clapping emojis.
Auchenhowie youth grad Ryan Hardie added: "Wooowwww. What a game so far. Glasgow Rangers," while former defender Rob Kiernan retweeted a post from current captain Tavernier.
The celebrities
The Ibrox club have some famous followers and the big names were out in force to praise Van Bronckhorst's side.
'Wellerman' singer Nathan Evans wrote on Twitter: "Wow. @RangersFC, Looks like I’m not the only one to be having success in Germany! What a result."
And in an exchange with fellow pop star James Arthur the former X-Factor man was too stunned to speak.
Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre branded the win a "HUGE result".
And Tony Robinson, who famously played Baldrick on Blackadder, wrote: "Anyone else watching the Dortmund v Rangers match. Flippin Eck!!".
Hamburg
Dortmund's German rivals got in on the action too, as they posted a video from Still Game.
The video, featuring main characters Jack and Victor dancing is soundtracked by 'Beautiful Sunday' which has been more associated with Celtic in recent years.
But Rangers fans were loving the tweet as they heaped praise on Hamburg.
One wrote: "This is why you're the best German team".
Another said: "Great to see so many HSV flags in the Rangers end tonight !! Hopefully HSV will be playing Dortmund next season after promotion."
A third concluded: "We love Hamburg."
