Rangers boss Philippe Clement addresses Ryan Jack's Scotland situation

Philippe Clement admits he could have a discussion with Ryan Jack regarding his international future.

The Rangers boss was asked about the 31-year-old's involvement with the Scotland team after he picked up another injury.

The midfielder has 18 caps for his country, having made his debut in 2017 under Alex McLeish. The former Aberdeen player has been on record as saying he loves playing for both club and country.

However, having picked up a knock as Steve Clarke's side finished off their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign recently, questions marks over his future involvement with the national team have been raised.

Clement admits he found himself in a similar situation during his playing career.

And the Belgian has revealed that talks may take place between himself, the player and the club's medical team.

He said: "We can think about that. I’ve been in that situation also as a player, when in one moment you feel your body is getting more difficulty in coping with both (club and country) because you never have a rest moment.

"We will see in the next couple of weeks if we need to have this talk or not. But first I want to speak with my medical staff about those things.”

Meanwhile, Alejandro Garnacho's stunning Manchester United goal has had Ally McCoist reminiscing about the one time he managed to pull off an overhead kick.

The Argentina attacker sent shockwaves through the football world yesterday evening as he scored perhaps the greatest-ever bicycle kick against Everton.

The 19-year-old met Diogo Dalot's floated cross as sweet as you like, as his acrobatic right-footed shot nestled beautifully in Jordan Pickford's top corner.

It was undoubtedly a Premier League goal of the season contender, as United marched to a comfortable 3-0 win at Goodison Park.
