Michael Beale is 100 per cent sure he can lead Rangers back to the top.
The Light Blues gaffer has enjoyed a solid start to life in the Ibrox dugout with his one defeat coming in the League Cup Final loss to Celtic. In the Premiership he is yet to taste defeat with his only dropped points coming in an Old Firm derby at Ibrox with Kyogo Furuhashi netting a late leveller for Ange Postecoglou's men in a 2-2 draw.
Beale took over the hot seat from Giovanni van Bronckhorst with the Ibrox men nine points behind in the title race and that remains the same gap at this stage. Despite Rangers' excellent run of form, Celtic have matched them stride for stride and not allowed them the opportunity to claw back any of the points difference with just 11 games remaining. The Glasgow rivals face off at least twice more in the league this campaign while they could potentially meet in the Scottish Cup if they both reach the semi-final stage.

It's been a whirlwind start for the 42-year-old and he's already started planning for the future with Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin in the door during the January window. A big summer of activity is expected with a host of starts out of contract, fringe men set to move on and additions coming in the door.
Asked if he felt he could lead the club back to the top, a confident Beale responded: “One hundred per cent. I back the people I work with and believe in this club and the work we’re going to go on. There’s work to be done but I 100 per cent believe in it. When I came back in did I feel everything was going to be perfect between the back end of November and May? No. But in my first year as a manager what was I investing in? The future.
“I believe in it and where I’m taking it and the people I’m going to go on that journey with. I don’t see it as anything other than me being confident going forward.”
When he was asked if the fans should be excited by his plans for the future, he continued: “I know at this moment there’s a little bit of a lack of faith but if I could say one thing to them it’s: ‘Stick with us.’
“We’re doing everything we can and believe in where we’re going. I’m strong in my conviction that we’ll go there and history will determine whether I’m right or not.”
