GIOVANNI VAN BRONCKHORST says Rangers made it far too easy for Liverpool to score in the second-half of their 7-1 trouncing at Ibrox.
The Reds ran out comfortable winners on matchday four of the Champions League.
Mohamed Salah bagged a six-minute hat-trick, while a Roberto Firmino double and strikes from Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliot sealed the deal for Jurgen Klopp's side.
Rangers actually took the lead in the game through Scott Arfield.
The attacking midfielder provided an expert finish to a lovely lay-off by Ryan Jack.
But in the end the Scottish giants fell apart.
The Rangers gaffer told BT Sport: "It’s a very disappointing result. We were in the game during the first-half.
“The second goal came with a fast transition, where we got caught on a couple of occasions.
“What we did well during the first half is to play more directly, play from the second ball and get the ball in behind their defence. We created some good chances.
“The further the game went on we kept playing short. This means you get the pressure from them. We didn’t do well.
“It was 3-1 at 66-minutes. Just as we were about to put on three new strikers to try and get something out of the game. After that, it went really quick. We conceded too many easy goals.
“I’m just processing this defeat, that’s all I’m thinking about at the moment.
“You want the start that we had today. Lately we’ve been strong on set pieces. Today, the first one went in.
“The second-half was too easy. After that we tried to push at 3-1. But after that you could see we were struggling. They upped the tempo. We weren’t accurate enough with our passing which is why we conceded so many goals.”
