Rangers and Manchester City are two teams reportedly looking at signing Motherwell prospect Bailey Rice.
The 15-year-old is considered as one of the Steelmen's brightest youngsters at the minute and has captained the country at youth level.
According to Football Scotland, Premiership champions Rangers are one club who are 'keeping track' of the youngster.
Manchester City meanwhile have already had their Scottish-based scout take stock of the Fir Park teenager.
It is believed though that if any move were to occur, Rice's preference would be a transfer south of the border.
A host of other clubs in England are also said to be after Rice.
He is expected to turn professional and sign his first deal when he turns 16 in October but it's not known where his signature will be yet.
Rules in English football state that players must be 17 before they put pen to paper on a pro contract, which could give Rangers an edge as they look to invest in their youth squads.
