Rangers and Celtic fan lockout 'damning' for Scottish game as pundit fears no road back to packed away ends

The allocations have been cut down to zero for the rest of the season - and Rangers vs Celtic away crowds won't go back to what they once were according to one pundit.

It's been confirmed that neither of Glasgow's Premiership duo will host visiting fans for the final two league clashes of the season. It comes amid safety fears with a match also due in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park. Supports in the away ends have already been slashed to under 1,000 in recent seasons, a far cry from around 7,000 in campaigns of the past.

Record Sport columnist Tam McManus says it's a sorry sight for the Scottish game, and the former Hibs man also believes that any notion of a return to packed travelling punters is a non-starter. He told PLZ: "I think it is going to be difficult to turn it around as they have sold season tickets to their own fans.
