Rangers and Celtic discover Premier Sports Cup dates and times as semi-final Hampden clashes set

Rangers and Celtic have discovered the date and kick-off times for their Premier Sports Cup semi-final clashes.

Ange Postecoglou's holders advanced to the last four after hammering Motherwell 4-0 on their own patch. Liel Abada was the star of the show as he fired a double and was heavily involved in the two other goals at Fir Park. Reo Hatate's piece of magic and Kyogo Furuhashi's tap in secured the big win and a clash with Kilmarnock following their triumph over Dundee United.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst and his troops joined their derby rivals in the hat after victory over Dundee. The Scottish Championship side made lift difficult for the Light Blues with Steven Davis grabbing the only goal of the game early on. The Dark Blues stood strong and kept the game alive. They will take big confidence from their display as they bid to return to the top flight.

Celtic and Kilmarnock will battle it out on Saturday, January 14 with a 5.30pm kick-off time.

Rangers and Aberdeen then go head to head 24 hours later on Sunday, January 15 with a 3pm start.

The two winners will move to within potentially 90 minutes of lifting the first piece of domestic silverware up for grabs this season with the final to be played at Hampden on Sunday, February 26.
