Rangers ace Hamza Igamane earns scout mission attention for Celtic clash

Morocco assistant manager Abdel Bouhazama has been assigned to watch in-form Rangers striker Hamza Igamane and could be at Hampden on Sunday for the Old Firm Scottish League Cup final showdown.

The 22-year-old has made a huge impression in recent weeks and his strike against Spurs in the Europa League this week took his tally to five goals in his last five games.

He revealed earlier this week that his ambition is to one day play for Morocco - who became the first ever African nation to reach the World Cup semi-finals in the latest tournament in Qatar.

Igamane has been in preliminary lists for squads before and helped them win the Under 23s African Cup of Nations last year, but has yet to play the Atlas Lions.

Now Morocco manager Walid Regragui has despatched his French No.2 - former Angers boss Bouhazama - to watch Igamane and send him detailed reports on his progress, according to the Moroccan media and he could be in Glasgow to monitor him at the Cup Final between Celtic and Rangers.

And if he impresses, he could be in the squad for the next games - a World Cup qualification double-header against Niger and Tanzania in March.
