Rangers ace Danilo tipped for big Ibrox future despite stuttering start

Rangers star Danilo has been backed for a big future at Ibrox, despite a stuttering start to life in Glasgow.

The Brazilian, who made a £5.6million switch to Govan in the summer, has struggled to cement his spot as a starter under Michael Beale, and now with the club out of the Champions League and also beaten by Celtic last week, questions are beginning to be asked.

Danilo has scored twice in nine appearances since his move to Ibrox from Feyenoord, but his former teammate Ofir Marciano has backed him to come good.

He told the Daily Record: “I worked with Danilo last season and technically he is amazing. He has amazing control and is a really good finisher.

"To play for such a big club as Rangers with the pressure then maybe it will take him time to adapt. But he definitely has the quality to be a big player for Rangers.

“I have a lot of faith in him. His main strength is his technique. He is really good in the box.

“As soon as he finds his comfort place in the squad and the team then he will deliver a lot to Rangers. He is a really good player.”
