Ranchi: The newly constituted state coordination committee of JMM, Congress and the RJD met under JMM president Shibu Soren in Ranchi on Friday morning to discuss recent political developments in Jharkhand and across the country.
“It was the first meeting of the committee since it came into existence on June 2. Today, the upcoming bypoll in Mandar was discussed, along with the recent violence in Ranchi and protests across the state. It was agreed that the committee would meet once every month and discuss the pressing issues of the state,” state Congress president Rajesh Thakur, who is a member, said. Besides Thakur, the nine-member committee, headed by Guru-Ji, consists of chief minister Hemant Soren, state rural affairs minister Alamgir Alam, labour minister Satyanand Bhogta and former Mandar MLA Bandhu Tirkey, among others.
