After much speculation, Ranbir Kapoor has finally confirmed being a part of late singer-actor Kishore Kumar’s biopic. The actor spoke in detail about the same at a promotional event of his upcoming film, ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’.
In a video which is doing the rounds on social media, Ranbir revealed that he is a part of Kishore Kumar biopic and has been working on it for the past 11 years. The actor added that filmmaker Anurag Basu has been writing it. Ranbir also hoped that this will be his next biopic.
In an interview with ETimes last year, Kishore Kumar's son Amit Kumar had spoken about his father's biopic. He had said, "We are doing a biopic on my father as well." When asked if it would be made with Anurag Basu and Ranbir, he had said, "No, now we'll produce it ourselves. We have started writing it."
In the same video, Ranbir also rubbished reports of him being a part of Sourav Ganguly’s biopic. According to him, the cricketer is one of the living legends and his biopic will be very special. However, he has not been approached for his biopic.
Earlier on Sunday, Ranbir and Sourav Ganguly played cricket at Kolkata's Eden Gardens. Several pictures of the duo on the field emerged online and it sparked rumours of the actor working on the cricketer’s biopic once again.
