The Los Angeles Rams have begun trimming their roster ahead of Tuesday’s 4 p.m. ET deadline, parting ways with 14 players on Monday afternoon. The team announced it has waived the following players, taking the first step toward getting the roster down to just 53 men.
The most notable player in this round of cuts was undoubtedly Lance McCutcheon, who was last year’s preseason star. He struggled this summer, unfortunately, and won’t be making the Rams’ 53-man roster. He could be a candidate for the practice squad, though.
Most of the other players cut with McCutcheon were undrafted rookies, including Tanner Ingle, Jordan Jones and Christian Sims.
- LB Kelechi Anyalebechi
- WR Braxton Burmeister
- DB Timarcus Davis
- DB Tyon Davis
- DB Vincent Gray
- WR Tyler Hudson
- DB Tanner Ingle
- DB Jordan Jones
- G Sean Maginn
- WR Lance McCutcheon
- TE Camren McDonald

Rookie linebacker Ryan Smenda Jr. was also waived with an injury designation, so he could revert to injured reserve if no player claims him off waivers on Wednesday.
The Rams need to cut a total of 36 players to get their roster down to 53, which means another 22 players will still be cut between now and Tuesday afternoon.
