The Los Angeles Rams have found their backup quarterback. With the 128th overall selection, the Rams drafted Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett.
Bennett joins Matthew Stafford as the second former Bulldogs quarterback in the Rams’ locker room, coming to Los Angeles as a two-time national champion with Georgia.
He’s already 25 years old and was projected to go late in the draft or undrafted because of that fact, but the Rams haven’t been deterred by more mature prospects this year; Byron Young is also 25 and Kobie Turner is 24.
In the last two years at Georgia, he threw 56 touchdown passes and 14 interceptions, completing 65% of his passes during his four years with the Bulldogs.
QB room? DAWGS.
