The Los Angeles Rams surprisingly cut five undrafted rookies this week just as the first-year players were getting started in OTAs. They parted ways with Roger Carter, T.J. Carter, Andrzej Hughes-Murray, Daniel Isom and Lance McCutcheon, making them free agents.
But one day later, the Rams brought back four of the five. They announced they signed all of those undrafted rookies back except for Hughes-Murray. It was a bizarre move, given the timing, but at least Carter, Carter, Isom and McCutcheon will get another shot with the Rams.
They were among the 17 undrafted free agents signed by the Rams this spring, in addition to the eight players they selected in the draft.
