On Super Bowl Sunday, Van Jefferson was informed that his wife was rushed to the hospital during the game, forcing him to make his way out of SoFi Stadium while the confetti was still falling to the ground.
Jefferson and his wife fittingly named their newborn son Champ, but Jefferson wasn’t the only Rams wide receiver whose family grew after becoming a world champion. Odell Beckham Jr. announced the birth of his child, Zydn, on Instagram early Wednesday morning.
Beckham and his girlfriend, Lauren Wood, welcomed Zydn to the world on Feb. 17.
Along with announcing the birth of his child, Beckham spoke about coming back even stronger following yet another knee injury. Beckham tore the ACL in his left knee for the second time in his career and will rehab this offseason in hopes to be ready to play at some point in the 2022 season.
Despite another injury that he’ll need to overcome, it seems as if Beckham is in a positive mindset with the birth of his child. Amid his rehab, at least he’ll have a new training partner around with him to keep him company.
