With the start of the regular season comes the first injury reports of 2024. The Los Angeles Rams got in an extra day of practice on Monday but they weren’t required to submit an injury report after that session.
They did after Wednesday’s practice and there are a few notable injuries heading into the first game of the season. Jonah Jackson was a full participant, as was Puka Nacua, but Rob Havenstein, Darious Williams and Cobie Durant were all limited.
Havenstein is dealing with a lingering ankle injury, and both Williams and Durant are recovering from hamstring strains. Sean McVay didn’t sound concerned about either cornerback missing the season opener, though.
As for Havenstein’s status, McVay said before practice that “we’ll see how today’s practice goes” when asked about his starting right tackle’s available for Week 1.
The Lions didn’t practice today so their injury report is an estimation, but it’s a short one, nonetheless. Detroit only listed three players on the report, two of whom were limited: Ifeatu Melifonwu and D.J. Reader. Backup safety Loren Strickland was the only player listed as a non-participant.
