Rams injury report: Final update for Week 2 vs. Cardinals

Things were looking bleak for the Los Angeles Rams at the start of the week after Puka Nacua, Steve Avila and Joe Noteboom all got hurt in the season opener, but the team’s health is improving ahead of Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Sean McVay shared an update before practice on Friday, telling reporters that while Cobie Durant, Quentin Lake and Kevin Dotson will all be limited to close out the week, they’re all expected to play on Sunday. They’ll still be listed as questionable, but McVay doesn’t sound concerned about their statuses for Week 2.

Additionally, Davis Allen is considered doubtful to play due to a back injury, which means Hunter Long will likely be the No. 2 tight end behind Colby Parkinson. The Rams are already fairly thin at tight end so being without Allen hurts the depth a little bit.

Rob Havenstein missed the season opener but he’s expected to play against Arizona, per McVay. So assuming he and Dotson both suit up, the Rams will have three of their five original starters up front – not as dire a situation as it was in Detroit when only Dotson and Jonah Jackson finished the game.

Update (2:54 p.m. PT): The Rams released the official injury report after practice and Davis Allen has been ruled out.

For the Cardinals, only Xavier Weaver and Max Melton are questionable.
